Healthy, Immune-Boosting Homemade Herbal Hot Chocolate

Cocoa is praised for being an immune booster. Why not amp that up by making it at home with additional herbs? The below adds depth and flavor profile to your next cup of hot coffee.

Ingredients

3tbspOrganic, raw cocoa powder
2tspGround fenugreek powder (optional)
1/2tbspDiced ginger root
2tbspAstragalus root
3cHigh-quality slightly alkaline water
2cMilk or cream of choice
1/2tspVanilla extract
Raw honey to taste
Homemade marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Boil the first six ingredients for 12-15 minutes. 
  2. Strain out the herbs.
  3. Add milk and sweetener. Return to a low heat for about 10 minutes. 
  4. Adjust sweetness as desired. 
  5. Top with marshmallows and enjoy!
